I don't recommend the Ultra case. IIRC, it was just one of the pretty short and straightforward alerts. This update also disabled the "EcoMode" settings within the "LaCie Desktop Manager" software. My next question: how can I save the backed-up data from the disk and then restore it back to the hard drive if it works again after reformating?? check over here

Then I performed Verify Disk using Disk Utility.
